O.N.E. (One Needs Empathy) Watts is an initiative of Children Mending Hearts, bringing together programs, resources, and community partnerships to help Watts residents find the support they need to move forward. Through five interconnected pathways, O.N.E. Watts meets people where they are and helps connect them to opportunities for growth, healing, stability, and success.

HOW THE PIECES FIT
O.N.E. Watts is designed so that no single pathway has to meet every need. Mentorship, education, healing, workforce development, and navigation work together so participants can access the right support at the right time. No matter what services they’re receiving, participants can get the immediate help they need without having to over.

Our Five pathways
Mentorship & Healing
Our holistic programs use empathy as their first touchstone, which naturally brings mentorship and healing to the work we do. We work with all of our participants to find the approach that works best with them to build confidence and connection.
Education
Education opens doors to possibility through academic support, hands-on learning, and opportunities to discover new interests and strengths. We want to create spaces where young people can learn and grow at their own pace.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Meaningful employment can create stability, independence, and a sense of possibility. We help young people discover their strengths, develop practical skills, and connect with opportunities that turn their aspirations into career pathways.

REENTRY & REINTEGRATION
Reentry is about so much more than just returning home. Reentry youth need the support, relationships, and opportunities to build a new path forward. We work alongside them as they navigate the challenges of reentry and reconnection.
NAVIGATION & RESOURCE ACCESS
Sometimes finding the right support is its own challenge. We help residents identify what they need, understand their options, and connect with the people, resources, and opportunities that can help them move forward.
